Baseball Recap: Alchesay Gets the Win

Alchesay hadn't done well against Winslow recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Alchesay came out on top against Winslow by a score of 8-4. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 11-5 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2021.

The team relied heavily on Alex Cosay, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Liam Thompson was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Alchesay's record now sits at 10-3. As for Winslow, they dropped their record down to 1-6-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Winslow has already played their next match, a 12-1 defeat against Blue Ridge on the 22nd. Hopefully Alchesay payed attention to Winslow's game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Winslow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
