The Kettering Captains will head out on the road to square off against the Shrine Catholic Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Kettering is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Catherine of Siena Academy just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Athletes, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Captains have suffered since September 30th.

While Kettering was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into St. Catherine of Siena Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-19, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Shrine Catholic posted their closest win since October 22, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Cardinal Mooney Catholic 3-2. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Shrine Catholic's win bumped their record up to 9-14-2. As for Kettering, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14-1.
