Basketball Recap: Winter Haven's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to 14

It's playoff time, and Winter Haven had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the George Jenkins Eagles 73-21. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Winter Haven got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Serenity Hardy out in front who went 6-for-13 en route to 15 points and three steals. Hardy is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 46% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Quin'Nya Gray De Sanders, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 14 points and five steals.

When it comes to explaining why George Jenkins lost, don't look at Taylor Gibson. Despite the final result, she posted seven points and five boards. Maranda Ghent also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.
