Basketball Recap: Orlando Christian Prep Falls Despite Big Games from Eric Noblin and Josh Theus

Orlando Christian Prep lost against Dr. Phillips back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Orlando Christian Prep Warriors fell to the Dr. Phillips Panthers 70-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (61), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Orlando Christian Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Josh Theus, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards, and Eric Noblin, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 21 points. The dominant performance gave Noblin a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Thomas, who posted eight points.

Orlando Christian Prep now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Dr. Phillips, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Orlando Christian Prep is headed away from home for the first time to take on Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dr. Phillips, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-63 defeat against Colonial on the 10th.
