Recap: Midway Raiders vs. Triton Hawks

Midway was the 8-2 winner over Triton when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Midway Raiders fell just short of the Triton Hawks by a score of 11-9 on Thursday. Even though they lost, Midway's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.5 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

John McLamb was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI. Luke Peterson was another key contributor, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

On Triton's side, Braxton Davis was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 4.2 innings while giving up two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Davis has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
