Softball Recap: Patuxent Comes Up Short

Patuxent lost against La Plata back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Patuxent came up short against La Plata, falling 21-5.

Patuxent saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Bruno, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Rose Harrell, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Patuxent dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for La Plata, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Patuxent is headed away from home for the first time to take on Calvert at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for La Plata, they will square off against St. Mary's Ryken at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's Ryken will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something La Plata surely won't give up without a fight.
