Volleyball Game Preview: San Rafael Bulldogs vs. San Marin Mustangs

The San Rafael Bulldogs will square off against the San Marin Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

San Rafael came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Redwood, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Giants: they've now lost four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-10.

Meanwhile, San Marin was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Archie Williams.

San Marin was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Archie Williams work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-12, 25-18.

San Rafael's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for San Marin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-21.

San Rafael skirted past San Marin 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
