Football Recap: Fowler Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Brock True and Bronson Damgaard + How To Watch

Fowler dropped down to 5-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They received a blow as they fell 52-38 to the Crowley County Chargers. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Bronson Damgaard and Brock True certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Damgaard rushed for 175 yards and one score while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, while True rushed for 98 yards and four TDs. With that strong performance, Damgaard is now averaging an impressive 105.3 rushing yards per game.

As for Crowley County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 10.78 yards per carry in those games compared to only 3.03 in the others.

Levi Gibson produced another solid performance rushing for 197 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also picking up 71 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.

Fowler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crowley County, they will challenge Akron at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 900 yards in their previous games.
