Basketball Game Preview: Manassas Park Cougars vs. Rappahannock County + Official Tickets

Manassas Park is 0-3 against Rappahannock County since December of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Cougars will look to defend their home court against Rappahannock County at 7:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Manassas Park took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Brentsville District with a sharp 63-37 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their 25-point performance the game before.

Zackery Hubbard was the offensive standout of the matchup as he shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points along with five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Joshua Witz, who posted eight points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Manassas Park was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brentsville District only posted two.

Rappahannock County not only won last Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 22nd (when they won 60-36). They blew past Brentsville District 60-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rappahannock County.

Rappahannock County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Manassas Park, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Things could have been worse for Manassas Park, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-24 loss to Rappahannock County in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
