Football Recap: Malden Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Malden came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Northeast Metro RVT Knights, falling 42-14. The Golden Tornados were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Ryan Beede was his usual excellent self, rushing for 47 yards and three scores for Northeast Metro RVT. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Beede a new career-high. Lucas De Oliveira was another key player, rushing for 70 yards and one TD.

Malden now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Northeast Metro RVT, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Malden will square off against Lynn Classical at 5:00 p.m. on October 4. As for Northeast Metro RVT, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Medford at 10:30 a.m. on October 11.
