Softball Recap: Freeport Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Freeport, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Apollo Ridge Vikings on Friday. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Freeport's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Apollo Ridge, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeport will head out to challenge Karns City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apollo Ridge, they will head out on the road to take on Kiski Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
