Each week during the season (regular and
post), there will be a fan-generated contest to
tab weekly winners. Each winner receives a
letter and award patch for their varsity jacket.
How does it
work? Nominees are selected from
statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may
request their free account here.
Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every
Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll.
Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners are announced the next day
along with the next week's nominees.
Participants may vote as many
times as they want. It's a competition.
Last week over 115,000 votes were cast. So far
this school year over 6.7-million votes have been
cast.

12 rebounds, eight assists and six steals in a 66-54 win over Kennedy
Catholic in the Class 1A state final.

Junior had 23 points, seven rebounds and
six blocks in a 62-56 win over Southern Columbia in the Class 2A state
final.

225 yards and a touchdown on 41 carries and two receptions for 36 yards
and a touchdown in a 31-28 quarterfinal win over Governor Mifflin. Has
rushed for 1,769 yards and 21 touchdowns this season.
* Landon Alexander, Central Valley (Monaca)
FootballSenior running back rushed for 206 yards and
two touchdowns on 22 carries in a 51-0 3A first round playoff win over
Elizabeth Forward. Followed that by rushing for 220 yards and a
touchdown on 18 carries and catching three passes for 34 yards and a
touchdown in a 52-15 quarterfinal win over North Catholic. Has rushed
for 1,950 yards and scored 30 total touchdowns this season.

FootballSenior linebacker had 22 tackles (17 solo)
and a tackle-for-loss in a 16-13 6A quarterfinal loss to State College.
Finished the season with 150 tackles and 17 TFL.
