Soccer Recap: Bowie Comes Up Short

After flying high against Irvin on Tuesday, Bowie came back down to earth. The Bears fell just short of the Ysleta Indians by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Bowie were not able to make up for their loss to Ysleta from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

Bowie's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2-2. As for Ysleta, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2-1.

Bowie has already played their next contest, a 2-2 loss against Harmony Science Academy on the 20th. As for Ysleta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 5-0 win against Austin on the 20th.
