            Basketball Recap: LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls vs. Canterbury Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            LaBelle came tearing into  Monday's  game with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured  a  64-59 W over the Canterbury Cougars. This was payback for the Cowboys/Cowgirls, who suffered  a  64-46  loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead LaBelle to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Giovanni Beaver, who  dropped  a double-double on 19  points and 11  boards. That's the most  rebounds  Beaver has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Arrie Davis Jr., who  went 6 for 12  en route to 16 points and six  boards.
 LaBelle was working as a unit and  finished the game with 14  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canterbury only racked up eight  assists.
 When it comes to explaining why Canterbury lost, don't look at  Carlisle Barker. Despite the final result, he  went 7 of 10  on his way to 18  points and eight  rebounds. Barker is trending in the right direction considering he's  improved his point production for three straight games.  Kyle Scharlau was another key player,  putting up 11 points.

LaBelle pushed their record up to 13-4 with the  victory, which was their ninth straight  at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Canterbury,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 5-12 record.
 LaBelle will head out to  square off against Okeechobee  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. LaBelle is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.5  points per game  this season. Canterbury has already played their next match,  an  86-48  win against Naples Classical on the 14th.
