Baseball Recap: Lake Park Triumphs

Lake Park proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the George Rogers Clark Cardinals 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lancers have posted since May 13, 2024.

Nathan Bergman looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Max Alvarado, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Lake Park's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for George Rogers Clark, they dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
