Soccer Game Preview: Standish-Sterling vs. Garber

The Standish-Sterling Panthers will square off against the Garber Dukes at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Standish-Sterling will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Standish-Sterling proved they can win big on Monday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ogemaw Heights, sneaking past 3-2.

Meanwhile, Garber was able to grind out a solid win over Clare on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Garber's victory bumped their record up to 4-12-1. As for Standish-Sterling, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Standish-Sterling came out on top in a nail-biter against Garber in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Dukes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
