Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Canterbury Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road + How To Watch

Fort Wayne Canterbury suffered their biggest defeat since August 21st on Thursday. They came up short against the Whitko Wildcats, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Cavaliers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

While Fort Wayne Canterbury ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.

Victoria Kim paced Fort Wayne Canterbury's offense, picking up 12 kills. Kim got some help from Sophia Miller and her 22 assists. Miller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Whitko got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caitlin Beer out in front who had 15 digs, ten kills, and one block. Those ten kills gave Beer a new career-high. Meredith Hindbaugh was another key player, getting nine digs, six kills, two aces, and one block.

Fort Wayne Canterbury's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7. As for Whitko, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-13.

Coming up, Fort Wayne Canterbury will be taking part in a tournament against Bremen at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Whitko, they will welcome Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
