Basketball Game Preview: Richmond-Burton Rockets vs. North Boone Vikings

Richmond-Burton and North Boone are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Richmond-Burton Rockets will host the North Boone Vikings at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Saturday, Richmond-Burton was beaten by Genoa-Kingston 55-17. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Cogs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for North Boone against Alden-Hebron last Saturday as the squad secured a 56-25 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-12.

North Boone has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.3 points. As for Richmond-Burton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Richmond-Burton ended up a good deal behind North Boone when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 56-38. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of North Boone's Mattison Mccartney, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 boards.
