Whitney and Pitman squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Whitney had to settle for second. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Pitman Pride who were credited with the victory. The Pitman Pride got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Whitney Wildcats' three. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Elikai Aluli-James, which was the first he's scored this season.

Whitney's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Pitman, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Whitney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pitman, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Woodcreek on the 1st.
