Basketball Game Preview: Cincinnati Landmark Eagles vs. Westlake Christian Academy Eagles

The Cincinnati Landmark Eagles will take on the Westlake Christian Academy Eagles in a tournament on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Cincinnati Landmark came up short against Spencer Center and fell 37-30.

Meanwhile, Westlake Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mid-Missouri HomeSchool. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 534th in Illinois, while the Mavericks are ranked 260th in Missouri).

Westlake Christian Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Cincinnati Landmark, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Cincinnati Landmark skirted past Westlake Christian Academy 40-38 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Cincinnati Landmark repeat their success, or does Westlake Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
