League recap: Ericson throws longest pass in league this season for Osceola

D2 District 2 (8 Man) recap November 5, 2013

Luke Ericson and Colton Kuhnel provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Nebraska Lutheran. The longest such play in D2 District 2 (8 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 65 yards.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, the Knights beat Osceola 56-28. The win marks ninth in a row for the Nebraska Lutheran.

Kelly Cliffords was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Bulldogs fell to Benjy Wells' team. The 6-foot-3 junior grabbed 2 sacks.

Ericson threw for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 10-18 with 1 interception.

Ericson put up the best numbers through the air as Osceola lost to the Knights. Ericson's favorite target this week was Kuhnel, who caught 4 passes for 102 yards.

Osceola's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ericson has thrown for 878 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Kuhnel has 19 catches for 432 yards. Ericson also leads the league in rushing with 931 yards.

Ericson has rushed for 931 yards on 171 carries so far this year.

Nebraska Lutheran led D2 District 2 (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on T.J. Nielsen's team. Ben Pohlman threw for 70 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 131 yards during the win.
