Basketball Recap: South Hardin Takes a Loss

South Hardin lost against Jesup back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The South Hardin Tigers fell just short of the Jesup J-Hawks by a score of 58-55. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the J-Hawks are ranked 273rd).

South Hardin dropped their record down to 5-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Jesup, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

South Hardin and Southeast Valley will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Jesup, they will host Grundy Center at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
