Baseball Recap: Lynnfield Extends Winning Streak to Five

Lynnfield barely beat Manchester Essex the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers blew past the Hornets 9-3 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Lynnfield, bringing their record up to 9-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.
