Volleyball Recap: West Forsyth Wolverines vs. South Forsyth War Eagles

West Forsyth lost to South Forsyth back in October of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The West Forsyth Wolverines came out on top against the South Forsyth War Eagles by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

West Forsyth was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 18-25, 25-9.

Leading West Forsyth to victory were Adeline Wieler and Mckenzie Kappy. Wieler had 14 digs and four aces, while Kappy had seven digs. Wieler is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had five or more in the last 27 games she's played dating back to last season.

West Forsyth was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2023.

South Forsyth's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Novo, who had 18 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Russell, who had ten digs.

West Forsyth's victory bumped their record up to 20-10. As for South Forsyth, they dropped their record down to 6-17 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Forsyth will welcome Alpharetta at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alpharetta will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something West Forsyth surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Forsyth, they will challenge Denmark at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Forsyth is facing Denmark at the right time seeing as Denmark is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
