It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Illiana Christian can now relate to. They lost 9-1 to the Hanover Central Wildcats on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-5 on May 8th.

Illiana Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-6 record this season. As for Hanover Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Illiana Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hanover Central, they will square off against Kankakee Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Kougars have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
