Baseball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

Rogers lost against Lauderdale County last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Griffen Herston was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Lauderdale County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rogers will host Deshler at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lauderdale County, they will welcome Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
