Volleyball Game Preview: Pickerington North Panthers vs. Reynoldsburg Raiders + How To Watch

Pickerington North is 8-2 against Reynoldsburg since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. Pickerington North will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Pickerington North faced off against Lincoln last Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Pickerington North not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lincoln between 15 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-16.

Pickerington North can attribute much of their success to Alexa Thomas, who had nine digs and three assists, and Rasherly Caceres, who hit 80% for 12 kills and six digs and one block. Caceres is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season.

Pickerington North was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Reynoldsburg lost 3-0 to Pickerington Central last Thursday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-14.

Reynoldsburg's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Pickerington North, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.

Pickerington North beat Reynoldsburg 2-0 when the teams last played back in August of 2023. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
