Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Pleasant Cardinals vs. Evergreen Valley Cougars

Mt. Pleasant is 0-6 against Evergreen Valley since December of 2015 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals duke it out with the Evergreen Valley Cougars at 7:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, Mt. Pleasant ended up a good deal behind Gilroy and lost 49-35. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Valley entered their tilt with Ann Sobrato on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 56-47 win over the Bulldogs.

Evergreen Valley has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Mt. Pleasant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
