Volleyball Recap: Walnut Grove Gets the Win

Walnut Grove picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Northwest Texans 2-1.

Walnut Grove had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 26-24, 25-16.

Maleah Evans went supernova, getting 13 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Lauren Aguilar, who had 13 digs and two assists.

Walnut Grove's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Northwest, they moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Walnut Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Boswell on the 21st. As for Northwest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Vandegrift on the 21st.
