West Central posted their closest  victory since May 20, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past the Morgan Township Cherokees  3-2. The  win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won three  matches in a row.
 Jalie Glasford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, West Central's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Kyra Leman, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
West Central now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Morgan Township,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-3.
West Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cherokees: the pair will be back at it again later today.
