Scotia-Glenville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Averill Park Warriors 2-1 on Friday. This was payback for the Tartans, who suffered a 5-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Scotia-Glenville got a great performance from Max Peters as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Scotia-Glenville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicholas Pedone, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
