Basketball Game Preview: Las Lomas Knights vs. St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots

The Las Lomas Knights will challenge the St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots at 10:45 a.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Las Lomas took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 58-53 W over Campolindo. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Cougars are ranked 70th).

St. Joseph Notre Dame has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 70-58 to Cornerstone Christian on Friday.

Las Lomas is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.
