Centennial is 9-1 against Central since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Cobras at 4:00 p.m.

Centennial blew Martin County out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Martin County got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-5. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Tigers since Friday.

Makayla Megnauth put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off ten hits. Megnauth was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Megnauth wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Serenity Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Another was Rayne Cohen, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against Port St. Lucie on Tuesday. The Cobras were the clear victors by a 22-6 margin over the Jaguars.

Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Centennial got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Central by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
