Soccer Recap: Mariner Takes a Loss

Mariner and North Fort Myers squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Mariner had to settle for second. They came up short against the North Fort Myers Red Knights, falling 4-1. The loss continues a trend for the Tritons in their matchups with the Red Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Mariner's goal came courtesy of Caroline Orth, who's now up to 14 this season.

Mariner's defeat dropped their record down to 17-3. As for North Fort Myers, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Mariner wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 win against Cape Coral on the 4th. North Fort Myers has also already played their next match, a 6-1 victory against Gulf Coast on the 4th.
