Basketball Recap: Wrightstown Takes a Loss

If Wrightstown was feeling good fresh off their 66-46 takedown of Oconto Falls last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wrightstown Tigers took a hard 62-48 fall against the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs on Saturday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Zephyrs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2015.

Wrightstown's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for St. Mary Catholic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wrightstown will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marinette at 7:00 p.m. on January 21, 2025. As for St. Mary Catholic, they will be home for the holidays to greet Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
