Warren County faced Rhea County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 25-0 win. Give the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Warren County's defense and their three sacks. Bri Taylor was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two herself.

Warren County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Rhea County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Warren County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 21-12 win against Bledsoe County on the 1st. Hopefully Rhea County payed attention to the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
