Deer Creek faced Northwest Classen in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Antlers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1. Deer Creek's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Deer Creek's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-4-1. As for Northwest Classen, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
