Baseball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

If Eastern was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Southern on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Athens Bulldogs on Thursday.

Eastern saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rohwan Gilmore, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Eastern's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Athens, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-4.

Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Athens, they will head out to square off against Warren at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
