Basketball Game Preview: Columbus Falcons vs. Tupelo Golden Wave

Columbus is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Starkville, falling 61-37. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Tupelo unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak dating back to last season on Monday. They had to suffer through a 73-26 loss at the hands of Pontotoc. The game marked the Golden Wave's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tupelo's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. As for Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
