Soccer Recap: Huffman Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Huffman has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 14-0 to the Mountain Brook Spartans on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Spartans are ranked sixth).

Huffman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Mountain Brook, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1-1.

Huffman wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Wenonah on the 11th. As for Mountain Brook, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Briarwood Christian on the 11th.
