The Vikings fell just short of the Mooresville Blue Devils by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for South Iredell in their meetings with Mooresville: they've now lost four in a row.

South Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Mooresville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3-3.

Coming up, South Iredell will take on Cox Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mooresville, they will be playing at home against Lake Norman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Norman's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Mooresville's offense will have their work cut out for them.
