Softball Recap: Alhambra Takes a Loss

Alhambra was the 11-6 winner over Montebello when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Alhambra fell 10-7 to Montebello on Tuesday.

Evelyn Estrada made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Toni Covarrubias was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Alhambra's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Montebello, they moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alhambra will face off against rival Bell Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Montebello is set to take on their familiar foe San Gabriel at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
