With a playoff win on the line, Providence Catholic rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Bloom Blazing Trojan as they made off with a 15-5 victory. Considering the Celtics have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Providence Catholic's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-12. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Bloom, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 18-13 record.

Providence Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-0 win against Homewood-Flossmoor on the 31st. Bloom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
