Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Wyatt Seeley and Kase Sipes Lead Holdenville to Victory

On Tuesday, the Holdenville Wolverines didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Hilldale Hornets, but they still walked away with a 66-60 victory. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Hornets are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Holdenville to victory were Kase Sipes and Wyatt Seeley. Sipes went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points and seven assists, while Seeley went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points in addition to six boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave Sipes a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Mike Piza, who posted ten points and three steals.

Holdenville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Hilldale, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holdenville will square off against Prague at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Holdenville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season.
