Softball Recap: Clearwater Beats Arcadia Valley for Their 16th Straight Victory

Clearwater came tearing into Friday's match with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Arcadia Valley Tigers a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Fightin' Tigers have won 19 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Clearwater's win was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Arcadia Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Clearwater will welcome Valle Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Fightin' Tigers are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a five-game losing streak. Arcadia Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
