Football Game Preview: Celina Bobcats vs. Paris Wildcats

The Celina Bobcats will head out to challenge the Paris Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Celina's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Celina duked it out with Sulphur Springs last Friday. The Bobcats blew past the Wildcats 38-14. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-7.

Meanwhile, Paris suffered their closest loss since October 4, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Sulphur Springs by a score of 38-35. Paris hasn't had much luck with Sulphur Springs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Celina will have to contain Tyler Heath as he made an impact in Paris' last game. He threw for 325 yards and four TDs while completing 74.3% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Jakabrian Record was Heath's top target, picking up 96 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Paris' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Celina, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything came up roses for Celina against Paris in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 45-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
