Softball Game Preview: Yuma Criminals vs. Tempe Buffaloes

The Yuma Criminals will square off against the Tempe Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Yuma has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gila Ridge hit Yuma with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Criminals came up short against the Hawks, falling 11-1. The Criminals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Tempe had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Golden Hawks as they made off with a 15-5 win. 15 seems to be a good number for the Buffaloes as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Yuma's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Tempe, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
