Basketball Recap: Kelliher/Northome Takes a Loss

Kelliher/Northome suffered their biggest defeat since January 23rd on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 110-83 loss at the hands of the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (81), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Kelliher/Northome has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.3 points over those games. As for Cass Lake-Bena, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kelliher/Northome will face off against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cass Lake-Bena, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers take on the Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
