Baseball Recap: Mahnomen/Waubun's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Mahnomen/Waubun lost against Brandon/Evansville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Thunderbirds fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 4-3. The loss was the Thunderbirds' first of the season.

Mahnomen/Waubun saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Zima, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mahnomen/Waubun fell to 3-1. As for Brandon/Evansville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mahnomen/Waubun will take on Win-E-Mac at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brandon/Evansville, they will venture away from home to challenge Upsala/Swanville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
