Basketball Recap: Mulberry Takes a Loss

After flying high against St. Paul last Friday, Mulberry came back down to earth. The Mulberry Yellowjackets'2024 ended with a 68-54 defeat against the Mountainburg Dragons on Friday. The Yellowjackets were probably out for revenge after losing 59-50 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mulberry has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season. As for Mountainburg, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulberry won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wonderview at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mountainburg, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Cedarville at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
